Doulas are birth companions who support the mother as early as pre-conception though-out labor and even post-partum depending on the needs of the mother, baby, and family. A Doula provides educational support by teaching about the woman's health and body throughout pregnancy, nutritional support, birth planning, labor support and so much more!!!
Ellenie Cruz has completed her doula training with Nicole Deggins, Sista Midwife and Whapio, The Matrona Institute, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is also a student midwife at Indie Birth and has taken a variety of training to support birth people and families through out the entire perinatal period. She is currently accepting expecting people or even people, or couples considering having a baby as clients. We believe every birther deserves a doula, if you are unable to afford our asking price please contact us so that we may still offer you services or find an available doula in your area that can help! We assume that if we are contacted with a client in need of sliding scale or free services that the client is requesting this based on need and with integrity.
Birth Companion/Doula
Here is the break down of what each package entails:
Oshun:
This is our basic love you up package. this is for mama's who don't need much help, maybe she has done this before but still wants/needs a doula to assist and usher her along this journey. With this lovely Oshun Energy you recieve the following:
- 2 prenatal preparations meetings (2.5 hours each)
- 1 prenatal tea blend need based access to an herbal apothecary
- Labor with your Doula On call from 38 weeks to 42 weeks + Back up doula if necesarry
- 1 hospital visit if mama has a hospital birth
- 1 postpartum visit with post partum service of choice (food or bodywork +birth processing)
Yemaya:
This package is for our mamas who need additional mothering. This is also our most popular package. Most mamas, regardless if this is their first baby or not prefer this extra time to realy build and connect with her body and the variety of knowledge, techniques and options she has for her birth journey and postpartum care:
- 3 prenatal preparations meetings (2.5 hours each)
- 1 prenatal tea blend and need based access to an herbal apothecary
- Your Doula On call from 38 weeks to 42 weeks + Back up doula if necesarry
- 2 hospital visit if mama has a hospital birth
- 2 postpartum visit with post partum service of choice (food or bodywork +birth processing)
- Meal Train Set up
Atabey:
This package is for our mamas who want to reconnect with the traditional b(earth)ing and traditional care of women during birth and post partum. This is also the appropriate package if you decide you would like prenatal care to get pregnant and stay pregnant as well birth and post partum care.
- 5 prenatal preparations meetings (2.5 hours each) (2 meetings will be pre-conception care meeting if women is not yet pregnant. If she is already expecting we will resume with our custom prenatal care plan)
- 1 prenatal tea blend and need based access to an herbal apothecary
- Prenatal cook day with your friends and family to prepare for postpartum
- Your Doula On call from 38 weeks to 42 weeks + Back up doula if necesarry
- 2 hospital visit if mama has a hospital birth
- 3-4 postpartum visit with post partum service of choice (heat treatment and bodywork +birth processing)
- 1 post partum meal and dessert to assit the body in repairing and nourishing itself
- Meal Train Set up
Payment plans are available if neccessary. We do not offer refunds on pre natal sessions. In the event the mother miscarries in the first trimester the mother will only recieve a refund on sessions that have not occurred. Our desposits on each package are not refundable
